Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a topic, and you choose ten book related things to answer the topic.

Emily:

1. Breaking Dawn – Stephanie Meyer

I knew by book three that the series was crap, and yet I still fangirled. And then felt so let down. I KNEW I would be let down; why did I persevere?

2. Hush, Hush – Becca Fitzpatrick Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Books We Can’t Believe We’ve Read”

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Books We Really Liked But Can’t Remember Much About

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she provides a topic, and you choose ten book related things to answer the topic.

Emily

I found it very difficult to limit myself to just five books! I struggle to remember most things and could do with a reread of A LOT. However, I also want to read all of the new books coming out every day – not enough time to do all the reading I want to do!

1. The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson

Sooooo, I have a ton of friends insisting I hurry up and read the newest book in The Stormlight Archive, Oathbringer. Only…. I can’t remember anything (except maybe two plot points) about the first two books! I did love them and devour them, but the books are so big I’ve been putting off my reread….

2. The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Books We Really Liked But Can’t Remember Much About”

Tanaya and I already did a blog post on our 2018 reading resolutions! Take a look over here. But I also thought we could take a little look at how we have been doing in regards to these resolutions over the past two weeks!

Tanaya is definitely doing better than I am. Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday – Bookish Resolutions/Goals”

Top Ten Books We Meant To Read In 2017 But Didn’t Get To (and totallyyyy plan to get to in 2018!!)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they provide a topic, and you choose ten book related things to answer the topic. This week we’ve each decided to pick five each, making our combined total ten. The topic is the incredibly relevant (and shameful) ‘Top Ten Books We Meant To Read In 2017 But Didn’t Get To (and totallyyyy plan to get to in 2018!!)’

Tanaya’s Top Five

1. Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings

I tried to read this book in 2017. I got about 100 pages in and had to put it down. At the time I was just really tired and found it difficult to get into the world without wanting to fall asleep, and I decided it was best for the book if I returned to it later. It is on my TBR for this month, so this one will definitely be getting read in 2018.

2. Hunted by Meagan Spooner Continue reading “Top Ten Books We Meant To Read In 2017 But Didn’t Get To (and totallyyyy plan to get to in 2018!!)”

Tanaya’s Top Ten!

  1. Celeste Ng

I was lucky enough to visit Book Expo America in 2017, and one book I saw so many times whilst I was there was Little Fires Everywhere. The cover intrigued me so much, but I was unlucky in trying to get an advanced copy. Flash forward to its release, I picked the book up and went into it having no idea that it would be one of my favourite books of 2017. I absolutely adored this book, and have since ordered Ng’s other novel, Everything I Never Told You. I can’t wait for it to arrive so I can read this one too!

  1. Libba Bray
