Last week I had mentioned how I had hoped to read six book in the following week… I definitely did not manage to achieve this (oops!). I did manage to finish three books, one audiobook, and get 200 pages into another book, but for the most part I was binge watching The Office again.

First up, I finished Autoboyography by Christina Lauren. For most of the book I was really loving it, and thinking it would be an easy five star read. Continue reading “Currently Reading”

Top Ten Tuesday: Books We Could Reread Forever

Emily

I don’t tend to reread books, but I have had to think about this question in my quest to declutter. (And I just have waaaaayyyy too many books.)

1. The Night Circus – Erin Morgenstern

This is a world I want to sink into forever. I could reread this book for the rest of time and still find something new and enchanting about it with every page. THIS BOOK is just amazing. Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Books We Could Reread Forever”

This week has been a lacklustre reading week, but I have been listening to the MOST incredible audio books! Sleeping Giants and Waking Gods are the science fiction books you need in your life. They are about a group of scientists trying to figure out the mechanics of a giant robot, the pieces of which they have found scattered around the globe. The books are incredibly intense and just AMAZING! Highly recommend. Get your hands on them IMMEDIATELY! Continue reading “Currently Reading”

I still kind of want to read everything on my TBR just so that I can make it through, buuuutttt it is also time for a major unhaul. So I’m committing to actually genuinely discarding the following from my TBR… SCARY! Going through my list, it’s been nice to see that I do still genuinely want to read most of what is on it! I had a little bit of a slump, but I still managed to read quite a lot this week! I finished Children of Blood and Bone, which had a crazy intense ending that I am still kind of reeling from…. I then jumped into Force of Nature by Jane Harper. I wasn’t sure how much I’d like it, but I really enjoyed sinking into the story! Even though crime isn’t my favourite genre, I really like Jane Harper’s books. There was a lot of whodunnit leads, a lot of climactic moments, and some really fascinating, angry, female characters. I already can’t wait for the next Aaron Falk mystery! Continue reading “Currently Reading”

1. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

I recently read this after being recommended it by multiple colleagues and I absolutely loved it. It was just one of those books that had me feeling all the feels from the start. With some witty banter and incredibly good sexual tension, this book will have you wanting the two main characters to get together immediately!

2. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Best Romances to Warm a Grinch’s Heart.”

Zenith was one of my most anticipated books of the year. I’ve watched Sasha’s booktube videos on and off for several years now, and whilst I had some wariness towards the quality of this book going into it, I really wanted to enjoy and love it. Unfortunately for me, this wasn’t really the case, and I actually had to force myself to finish the book.

Here is the description, courtesy of the book blurb because I actually suck at summarising books!
